Question:

I know that you suggest joining with one other person to form a support group, but my efforts to do this have not produced a support group.  It is not that I am not surrounded by wonderful people.  I belong to a Unity Church, but the people there are immersed in Unity Principles.  I have supportive friends, but none that want to embark on this with me.  What I am asking is if you can give me even one name of someone in my area that I can call for support.

Part I: You are looking out at the world around you and seeing it as not being supportive of you as you wish to be supported.  You name the people at Unity and your otherwise supportive friends as examples.

This leaves you feeling powerless to proceed.

What a wonderful expression of your power:  you, the Power and Presence of God making believe that you are powerless.  You have, in fact, created the lack of support you are seeing.

My suggestion is to go into the feelings you have when you feel that you are not receiving the support you would like, or feeling that you just don't have the power to create what you say you want.  When you are deeply into those feelings, call the energy in the feelings what it really is  --  the Power and Presence of God that you are.

Every experience you have is one you have created to support yourself.  There is a gift in every one of those experiences.  The gift is the same in every case  --  the opportunity to expand your awareness of who you really are, and the power that is yours.

Part II: The beauty of your creation is that right where you feel the lack of support is the real support  --  the place where you hid your power.  Your Infinite Intelligence has brought you to the most perfect place for you to be: face-to-face with your power.  The feeling of powerless is in fact your power.  You have just called it powerlessness.

You have gone to great lengths to hide your power and keep it hidden.  You have had to create and maintain total commitment to that undertaking so that you can have the human experiences you came here to have.

You are now reaching out to reclaim the power you have hidden.  But nothing less than total commitment to reclaim the power has any impact: for the existing commitment to keep the power hidden is the one that remains in effect until you direct otherwise.

Creating your human experiences is a brilliant creation.  Reclaiming the power you hid in the beliefs you created to bring you your human experiences is a remarkable accomplishment.  Until you appreciate the brilliance of that creation, the power you hid there remains in these creations.  And you remain at the effect of the power you placed outside of you, even though the power is yours.
