[THERE IS NO DICHOTOMY]

Question:

I picked up a used copy of "You Can Have It All" at a local used bookstore probably a year or so ago. I got through a portion of it but for some reason or the other put it down, until today. Over the past several years, I have been transitioning through beliefs and so my life has been changing rapidly. My search for truth has led me to books.

I truly appreciate the simple way you declared the simple principles in "You Can Have It All." Concepts that I have been introduced to in the past glowed forth with new significance and I believe a true positive turning point in my life is happening in the present.

I have never been certain of any "superstar" talent that I might possess, but I believe it is probably in the realm of communication. I would love to hold workshops and intuitively dialogue about the principles of the universe with others for their benefit. I don't have 25 years of professional experience under my belt in any capacity. As a matter of fact, my past is littered with short term jobs because I have spent so much time starting and quitting, never feeling like I am "called" to do anything.

I am married with three kids and I have been failing miserably in providing for them. I realize that my current circumstances are what I have wanted, but can't seem to find the joy in work.

My ideal day would consist of discussing and discovering truth, miracles, joy and beauty with people all over the world and experiencing the flow of abundance increase in the lives of everyone I touch including myself. That is a feeling. A vision. I believe the Universe will handle the details but I don't think I believe it 100%. I still believe in the crunch of time and wonder what would happen if I quit my uncomfortable job and do what I have done with jobs all of my life.

I hope to meet you at one of your seminars or workshops some day. Thanks again.

Answer:

The seeming "dichotomy" between your vision and your present reality is something you made up. There is no "dichotomy." Right where you see failure, discomfort, and absence of joy and abundance is the presence of comfort, joy and abundance disguised as what you call "failure," "discomfort," and "absence of joy."

This will make more sense to you when you read THE JOURNEY, an explanation of the apparent conflict and inconsistency between the way we are experiencing our lives and the way we tell ourselves we would like our lives to be. Feel free to be back in touch with me after you have read the book with any comments or questions.
